We're a long way from 2024, and the team has to hope that the planet and climate cooperate so that there are no delays. An NBA-specific building with all of the adjacent courts (and game clocks … thousands of game clocks) would really transform the experience of watching the Clippers. I'm from Philadelphia, where the arena has not aged particularly well. Granted, I haven't seen a lot of arenas in the NBA yet, something I am looking forward to over this NBA season. They both extended their contracts to be here with the Clippers, and they both are committed to building something together that would last longer than whatever arena they're playing in. After being at Friday's groundbreaking, I'll say that if Leonard and/or George aren't with the team in the fall of 2024, there will be a lot of videos and other displays with their face and voice on it that went towards putting the outline of this building together that will need to be changed.
